It also supports bills of materials, connected-system data consistency, formal change control, system integrations, data migration, and process improvements.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience with product specifications, master data, ERP or PLM systems, or a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite item records, BOMs, and inventory or product data integrations.
  • Familiarity with product compliance data such as label claims, allergens, certifications, and UPC/GTIN requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to coordinate data changes across multiple teams and systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Supply Chain, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in food, supplements, or CPG.
  • Experience with SharePoint, eQMS, PIM, or e-commerce and EDI integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the new product stage-gate process by ensuring required product information, approvals, and cross-functional inputs are complete before handoffs.
  • Coordinate product change requests for formulas, packaging, labels, suppliers, and manufacturing data, and communicate timing and impact to affected teams.
  • Coordinate item setup, required documentation, and cross-functional dependencies for launch readiness.
  • Review slow-moving products and recommend reformulation, discontinuation, or other action, using supporting data for stakeholders.
  • Create, maintain, revise, and distribute approved finished-product, ingredient, and packaging specifications.
  • Maintain specification revision history, approval records, and supporting documents.
  • Partner with Quality to manage compliance data, including formulation versions, label claims, certifications and attributes, UPC/GTIN assignments, and record retention.
  • Ensure product and material records link to the correct specifications and documents, and flag missing, expired, or inconsistent information for resolution.
  • Own the item master as the single source of truth for SKU data and establish and enforce data standards, naming conventions, item structures, and classifications.
  • Keep product, ingredient, and packaging data consistent across NetSuite, digital asset, warehouse and 3PL, e-commerce, and other connected systems; resolve discrepancies.
  • Create and maintain NetSuite item records and bills of materials, including item types, units of measure, preferred vendors, reorder points, and costing.
  • Maintain BOM yield and scrap assumptions and revision control to preserve traceability and historical costing and production records.
  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to align BOMs with manufacturing partner records, document approved substitutions and alternate vendors, and reconcile assembly builds, inventory, and lot data across systems.
  • Coordinate UPC/GTIN and item attribute requirements to support reporting, fulfillment, and channel needs.
  • Maintain product change records and revision history in support of formal Change Control, ensuring updates are reflected in affected systems and documents.
  • Partner with the NetSuite administrator and system owners on custom fields, data ownership, and integration mappings for e-commerce, EDI, PIM, and other downstream channels.
