Product Lifecycle Analyst - Powertrain

About The Position

The Product Lifecycle Analyst develops and maintains a product line, maintains publication data, and supports the creation of technical literature. The role requires a strong understanding of the automotive aftermarket, particularly powertrain and internal combustion engines. The analyst manages product lifecycle activities, product and application data, competitor research, new product programs, product specifications, and product quality, while coordinating with MAHLE teams and vendor engineering departments.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Automotive Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Working knowledge of internal combustion engines, engine sealing product design and materials, engine components generally, sourcing, and completion of corrective action requests.

Nice To Haves

Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Responsibilities

Research OE and aftermarket competitors’ catalogs and components for information about new part additions and upgrades to existing parts.
Manage all facets of the product lifecycle, including outlining product details, sourcing, new product introductions, supersessions, consolidations, relabels, and recalls; analyze new products and make recommendations.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of application and product data in all publications.
Conduct competitor analysis, maintain competitor interchange data, and analyze competitor market prices.
Coordinate the development of new product programs.
Establish product and material specifications.
Maintain responsibility for product quality and the content of sets.
Liaise with MAHLE Aftermarket Service Engineering, MAHLE Aftermarket Product Management in Germany, MAHLE OE engineering at international manufacturing locations, and vendor engineering departments.
