Product Lead

TranslucentNew York, NY
$220,000 - $250,000Hybrid

About The Position

We're hiring a Product Lead to own one of Translucent's core Product verticals end to end – for example: Hospital & Service Line Performance, Revenue Intelligence, Supply Chain/ Pharmacy, Compliance. A vertical at Translucent isn't a feature area. It's an economic problem health systems are willing to pay for to solve, with a portfolio of products underneath it and a set of AI agents doing the work. You own the thesis, the roadmap, the products, the quality bar, and — most of all — whether real operators use it and can point to dollars. You are the single-threaded owner. Main Product approach: pick the right problems, ship fast, drive customer adoption, and prove the value in dollars a CFO or Operator will sign their name to.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in product, including time as the senior-most product owner for a business line or product portfolio — not a single feature team
  • A track record of moving an enterprise product from thin usage to genuine adoption, and the numbers to prove it.
  • Deep domain knowledge in healthcare provider finance or operations —e.g. revenue cycle, payer contracting, service line economics, hospital operations, pharmacy drug margins, , physician productivity, etc.
  • Take an abstract product concept from a customer or the sales teams, go deep in the domain, and produce a quickly vibe-coded prototype you’d feel comfortable to present to a customer for discovery to refine it
  • Fluency with data-heavy products: you can read a data model and reason about where the data will betray you
  • Direct experience shipping AI or agentic products in production, and a real point of view on where they fail and how to make them trustworthy
  • Comfort being the accountable owner in a company that is allergic to shared ownership — you'd rather make a clear call and be wrong than diffuse the decision
  • Executive presence with health system leadership: you can hold a CFO's attention, take a hard question, and not retreat into product jargon
  • Startup realist: ready to sprint when priorities shift, jump into unfamiliar areas, and wear multiple hats
  • AI-augmented operator: you use tools like Claude, Cursor, Gemini, and v0 to move materially faster than a traditional PM, with specific examples
  • Bias toward action: you take an ambiguous problem to a working V1 quickly, then iterate against real feedback
  • Excellent written communication. Most of our decisions get made in writing
  • Ability to operate in chaos and bring structured organization to a quickly shifting ambiguous environment.
  • Low ego, high curiosity. Since we're building net-new products with no established playbook, the strongest solutions come from listening, learning from your teammates, and being willing to be wrong.

Nice To Haves

  • Any Agentic AI work or personal experience
  • Hands-on familiarity with Epic (Clarity/Caboodle), Strata, Vizient, Premier, or comparable provider finance and decision-support systems
  • Experience standing up a new product line 0→1 inside an existing company, with existing customers to sell into
  • Early start-up experience
  • P&L, revenue, or quota-adjacent ownership
  • Experience hiring, leveling, and growing product managers
  • Background in provider-side consulting, revenue integrity, or managed care strategy

Responsibilities

  • Own the vertical's thesis and roadmap — which economic problems we solve, which products sit underneath, in what order, and what we deliberately don't build
  • Design and build AI agents that take action for high value workflows within the vertical
  • Decide what agents do autonomously in your vertical versus what stays human-in-the-loop, and hold the accuracy bar with AI Engineering through real evals, not just spot checks
  • Drive activation, not just shipped surface area. You're accountable for real personas logging in on a real cadence and acting on what they see
  • Tie the vertical to realized dollars — revenue recovered, margin protected, manual work eliminated — documented and confirmed by the customer's finance leadership
  • Go deep with operators: CFOs, VPs of revenue cycle, managed care, service line and department leaders. Turn messy institutional reality into sharp product decisions
  • Build on shared foundational capabilities — stored contracts, external datasets, the context layer, the agent harness — and push the platform team when they need to be better
  • Partner with GTM on pricing, packaging, and positioning, and be in the room on the deals your vertical needs to win
  • Do the work: write the specs, build the prototypes yourself, run the QA, sit in onboarding sessions. We're small and everyone is comfortable wearing different hats.
  • Grow the team around the vertical as it earns headcount, & set the bar for the PMs who join.
