Product Lead - Platform

Midstream Health

About The Position

Midstream is hiring a Product Manager to shape the foundational platform that powers its AI-native products across supply chain, managed care, and pharmacy. As the first Platform PM, this person will own strategy and roadmap for data infrastructure, core AI agents, and shared capabilities that transform complex, fragmented healthcare data into trusted, actionable intelligence. The role works closely with Engineering, Research, and Product to determine what to build, how to build it, and how to create a foundation that scales across customers and use cases. The Product Lead will define Midstream’s shared platform vision and priorities, build a connected data foundation, advance the infrastructure and practices behind AI agents, and establish data-quality standards and monitoring. The role will enable product teams to move faster through reusable capabilities and simpler onboarding of health systems and data sources. It will also shape secure, private, compliant, reliable platform capabilities suitable for large health systems, while balancing near-term delivery with long-term scalability.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience.
  • Experience building enterprise analytics, data, or intelligence platforms that support multiple products or business domains.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, including ingestion, data modeling, entity resolution, APIs, and multi-tenant systems.
  • Ability to engage deeply with engineers on technical decisions and tradeoffs.
  • Hands-on experience building AI-powered products and understanding of LLM and agentic-system opportunities, limitations, and evaluation challenges.
  • Experience building products where data integrity, security, privacy, and compliance are essential.
  • Ability to make strategic decisions about shared platform capabilities versus individual products while balancing long-term architecture with immediate business needs.
  • Ability to ship incrementally, learn from real-world usage, and evolve early capabilities into scalable, reliable solutions.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills across Product, Engineering, and Research.
  • Motivation to apply AI and modern data technology to healthcare challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with healthcare data, including EHR, ERP, supply chain, pharmacy, or payer data.
  • Familiarity with knowledge graphs, ontologies, data catalogs, or master data management.
  • Experience building products at an early-stage company.

Responsibilities

  • Define the platform vision, priorities, and roadmap, including decisions about which capabilities belong in the shared platform versus individual product domains.
  • Partner with Engineering to shape how healthcare data is ingested, reconciled, modeled, and connected across products, contracts, vendors, facilities, and spend.
  • Drive capabilities such as LLM-powered contract extraction, product categorization, and entity resolution, with insights that are accurate, explainable, and traceable to their source.
  • Own shared infrastructure and capabilities that power Midstream’s AI agents, collaborating with Engineering and Research on how agents are built, evaluated, and improved.
  • Define standards, metrics, and continuous monitoring for platform data quality, accuracy, reliability, and transparency.
  • Partner with Product Managers across supply chain, managed care, and pharmacy to identify needs and build reusable capabilities that accelerate development.
  • Improve onboarding of health systems and data sources to reduce complexity and increase the speed of delivering value.
  • Shape platform capabilities to meet enterprise security, privacy, compliance, and reliability expectations.
  • Work with Engineering on pragmatic architectural tradeoffs and evolve early solutions into scalable infrastructure as the business grows.
  • Communicate clearly, document decisions, and build cross-functional alignment while navigating technical and business tradeoffs.
