About The Position

Fastenal is hiring an entry-level, part-time Product Handling team member at its distribution center at 5851 Guion Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46254. The role helps facilitate product movement through the distribution center to company-owned branches and within the facility. Work includes consolidating and restocking product and moving inventory by hand, pallet jack, or forklift. The position may offer a flexible schedule after onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. The listed schedules run Monday through Friday, with shifts from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., or 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., up to 28 hours per week.

Requirements

Proficient written and oral communication skills.
Proficient computer skills.
Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer-service oriented.
Strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.
Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule and extra time as needed.

Ability to lift, slide, carry, and lower packages that typically weigh 25–50 pounds and may weigh up to 100 pounds.
Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam only).
