Responsibilities

  • Maximize equipment reliability by proactively maintaining and repairing laboratory and facility systems, ensuring machinery and services stay available and performing at their best.
  • Strengthen multi‑craft capability by supporting technicians across disciplines and applying broad mechanical, HVAC, and troubleshooting expertise to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Lead facility and construction projects by initiating needs assessments, coordinating with engineers, managing contractors, and making informed decisions that improve infrastructure and space utilization.
  • Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient facilities through diligent oversight of building systems, adherence to safety standards, and rapid response to issues that could impact people or operations.
  • Improve planning and coordination by managing schedules, materials, and workflows that keep maintenance activities organized, timely, and aligned with operational priorities.
  • Develop others by creating and delivering training, mentoring technicians, and building a more capable, confident, and self‑sufficient maintenance team.
  • Drive continuous improvement by initiating and leading improvement projects, adapting to changing work demands, and identifying opportunities to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety.
