About The Position

The Product Finance Senior Manager will own the economics and financial operations of Databricks’ multi-cloud platform spend. This role partners with Cloud Engineering and Infrastructure Operations leaders on driver-based cloud forecasting, infrastructure efficiency roadmaps, and scalable cost attribution across the product portfolio. It analyzes how shared platform spending scales across products, cloud providers, and regions; builds forecasting models for regional expansion, customer growth, and product launches; and develops cost attribution models for shared platform expenses. The role also partners with Engineering to establish efficiency KPIs and translate technical optimizations into operating and gross margin targets. It creates operational rhythms and reporting that give product and engineering leaders visibility into unit economics, and scales cloud finance processes and systems through automated workflows, rigorous cost allocation, monthly accruals, and auditable reporting. The role uses the Databricks platform to analyze cloud billing and telemetry datasets and provide self-service cost visibility to engineering partners.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in Strategic/Product Finance, Cloud FP&A, or FinOps.
  • Foundational training in Investment Banking, Consulting, or high-growth technology.
  • Deep fluency in consumption-based business models, public cloud infrastructure costs (AWS, Azure, and GCP), unit cost analysis, and gross margin drivers.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering directly with Engineering and Cloud Infrastructure Operations teams to drive cost efficiency and forecasting accuracy.
  • Ability to build scalable financial processes, driver-based models, and auditable allocation frameworks in fast-moving environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise in hyperscaler cloud pricing, enterprise commitment structures, and infrastructure deal economics.
  • Experience attributing shared platform or foundational infrastructure costs across a multi-product SaaS or PaaS portfolio.
  • Hands-on proficiency with SQL, Python, or notebook environments, especially Databricks, to self-serve insights from large cloud billing and usage datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze shared cloud platform spending across products, cloud providers, and global regions to identify its underlying drivers.
  • Build driver-based forecasting models for infrastructure spend across regional expansion, customer scale, and new product launches.
  • Partner with Cloud Infrastructure Operations to design a forward-looking cost attribution model that maps shared platform expenses to individual products.
  • Partner with Engineering to define efficiency KPIs across core platform services and storage and compute layers.
  • Build an infrastructure efficiency roadmap with Engineering and translate technical optimizations into operating and gross margin targets.
  • Establish operational rhythms and reporting that help product and engineering leaders execute against unit economic goals.
  • Build automated, scalable cloud FP&A workflows as the multi-cloud footprint and commitment structures become more dynamic.
  • Maintain rigorous, auditable, and scalable cloud cost allocation frameworks, monthly accruals, and reporting pipelines.
  • Use the Databricks platform to analyze cloud billing and telemetry datasets and deliver self-service cost visibility to engineering partners.
