Product Expert

RevenueCat
•$133,000 - $133,000•Remote

About The Position

RevenueCat is hiring a Product Expert for a new role at the intersection of inbound sales, product education, and helping developers get started. The Product Expert owns inbound conversations that are not routed directly to Account Executives or Sales Engineers, helping people understand RevenueCat and take a useful next step. The role is initially based in either EMEA or the Americas and reports to the Sales Engineering lead. The new hire will learn alongside experienced teammates and help shape how the Product Expert team operates as it grows. The role involves understanding what prospective customers are trying to accomplish, explaining and demonstrating relevant RevenueCat features, and guiding straightforward adoption. The Product Expert identifies when to involve an Account Executive, Sales Engineer, Support, or another team, and maintains responsibility for follow-through during handoffs. They also share recurring questions and feedback and help improve demos, resources, and playbooks. Success includes learning the product and shadowing customer conversations in the first month; independently handling discovery conversations and demos in the coverage area within three months; becoming a trusted source of product guidance and improving the experience within six months; and helping establish team practices, onboard new teammates, and develop deeper expertise within twelve months. The position is remote and requires meaningful working-hour overlap with customers and teammates in the employee’s region.

Requirements

  • Strong, hands-on knowledge of RevenueCat, with the ability to demonstrate how it has been used and explain it clearly.
  • Curiosity about app businesses, how developers build products, and how they monetize and grow.
  • Clear, friendly communication, including careful listening, asking useful questions, concise follow-ups, and adapting explanations to different audiences.
  • Practical technical understanding of SDKs, APIs, subscriptions, and paywalls, and the judgment to involve an engineer when needed.
  • Commercial judgment to recognize promising opportunities, assess timing and fit, and recommend useful next steps without turning every conversation into a pitch.
  • Ownership and follow-through, including the ability to manage multiple conversations, maintain accurate notes, and meet commitments.
  • Ability to work remotely, communicate proactively, ask for help when needed, and work hours that meaningfully overlap with customers and teammates in the employee’s region.

Nice To Haves

  • Built or shipped an app using RevenueCat, including a side project or Shipaton entry.
  • Helped people through support, community participation, teaching, demos, or another customer-facing role.
  • Experience with developer tools, subscriptions, or a product serving both self-service and sales-assisted customers.
  • Enjoys improving processes or creating resources that make work easier for others.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound interest, run discovery conversations, and understand prospective customers’ apps, goals, and needs.
  • Give clear product demonstrations and practical guidance, explaining relevant RevenueCat features, limitations, and getting-started steps.
  • Help customers make progress through self-service next steps, useful resources, and follow-up.
  • Identify appropriate next steps, including referring qualified commercial opportunities to an Account Executive and involving a Sales Engineer for deeper technical discovery, complex migrations, or solution design.
  • Connect support questions and prospects who are not ready to proceed with the appropriate team or follow-up, and communicate when RevenueCat is not a suitable fit.
  • Document customer goals, requirements, open questions, and next steps; follow through until the next owner has taken over.
  • Share recurring questions and customer feedback, and use those insights to improve demos, resources, playbooks, and handoffs.
  • Host a bi-weekly demo stream for customers and prospects.
  • Help establish Product Expert team practices and help new teammates get up to speed.

Benefits

  • Competitive equity in a fast-growing Series C startup backed by top-tier investors, including Y Combinator.
  • 10-year window to exercise vested equity options.
  • Fully remote environment designed around autonomy and flexibility.
  • 4–5 weeks of flexible time off annually.
  • Paid desk at a co-working space.
  • Workspace budget and continuous learning stipend.
