Product Engineering Manager

Mantel Capture, Inc

About The Position

Mantel is developing molten-salt-based carbon capture technology for high-temperature industrial applications. The Product Engineering Manager owns Mantel’s proprietary equipment packages (PEPs), which are central to the company’s licensing business. The role takes equipment packages from specification through vendor selection, design, fabrication, delivery, installation, and commissioning, ensuring they meet process requirements and perform as intended at project sites. This technical management role sits on the Product team and works across engineering, projects, and business development. The manager is accountable for package technical and commercial scope, coordinating internal and external engineering resources and vendors, and keeping stakeholders informed about equipment status. The role begins as a high-visibility individual contributor, involves close collaboration with senior leadership, and requires travel to vendor shops and project sites up to 25% of the time.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in project engineering, equipment engineering, or package management for process or industrial facilities.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical/Process Engineering.
  • Experience taking equipment from specification through to operation in a running plant.
  • Ability to read P&IDs and general arrangement (GA) drawings and assess vendor proposals.
  • Comfort working in design reviews and on fabrication shop floors.
  • Ability to manage schedules, budgets, and project documentation.
  • Ability to hold vendors accountable firmly and fairly.
  • Direct, low-ego approach and strong follow-through.
