Product Engineer

Rockstar•New York, NY

About The Position

Rockstar is recruiting for a health insurance technology startup modernizing and automating the benefits experience. The company is headquartered in New York City, has a remote-friendly team of about 15, and is seeking early Product Engineers to own problems end to end, from architecture and shipping through partner conversations that shape future development. The role offers autonomy and the opportunity to make a significant impact on the core product. The company aims to reduce confusion and friction in employee benefits caused by outdated systems and manual processes. Its products support brokers, employers, employees, and HR and payroll partners through tailored benefits experiences and embeddable solutions. Product Engineers will own the transformation of core products into best-in-class experiences, including benefits administration workflows, carrier integrations, and embeddable user interfaces. They will help set product direction, establish technical foundations that can scale with partner needs and company growth, and develop partner relationships to inform the roadmap and feature development. The team values ownership of whole problems, high quality, clear written documentation, and moving quickly when changes are reversible. Compensation is based on experience and work location, with a stated base salary range of $180,000–$220,000.
