About The Position

This role involves preparing detailed product drawings, developing and modifying product designs, and maintaining drawing files. The Product Engineer will also answer employee questions, participate in product testing, and attend in-house meetings to discuss project development. The position requires a strong understanding of material processing, manufacturing techniques, and various materials like composites, aluminum, plastics, and steel. Proficiency in Solidworks and prototyping skills are essential. The role also involves computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite and Project.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) desired.
• 3 - 7 Years of relevant work experience in the field.
• Familiar with material processing and Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing techniques (stamping/ injection molding / casting)
• Familiar with composites, aluminum, plastics and steel
• Proficiency with Solidworks
• Prototyping

Nice To Haves

• Computer literate with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prepares detailed product drawings according to assignment using a 2D/3D CAD system.
• Involved in developing and modifying product designs with the Senior Product Engineer.
• Maintains and organizes the drawing files in the filing cabinet and on Grass America’s local area network for reference and blueprints.
• Answers Grass employee questions.
• Involved in product testing working with Product Testing personnel.
• Attends in-house meetings as necessary to discuss current projects/project development.
