Product Engineer (Security) - AI Control Plane

SpeakeasySan Francisco, CA
Onsite

About The Position

Speakeasy provides the AI control plane for enterprises, helping companies securely scale AI usage with a platform for central management of MCPs, Skills, and Assistants, featuring fine-grained permissions, threat detection, and full observability. This is a unique, high-impact opportunity to join a passionate team focused on solving greenfield and challenging product problems. You will work on an early product with a fast-moving team and collaborate directly with founders and customers daily. The role involves designing and shipping features that enforce enterprise security policies for MCP usage and access, improving the risk policy system (deterministic and prompt-based using LLM-as-a-judge), deepening integrations with identity providers, and collaborating on hardening the company's security posture.

Requirements

  • Shipped features on products used by security teams
  • Exceptional ability to learn and pick up new frameworks
  • Ability to work across the stack from backend to frontend
  • Ability to work in person in our San Francisco Office

Nice To Haves

  • You want to join a talent-dense team made up of ex-founders and domain experts across various developer tools, languages, and infrastructure (in fact over a quarter of the team).
  • Ownership excites you in the full lifecycle of development: building, shipping, running support, maintaining infrastructure and measuring impact.

Responsibilities

  • Design and ship features that enforce enterprise security policies around MCP usage and access.
  • Improve and fine tune our risk policy system, including deterministic and prompt based policies using LLM-as-a-judge techniques.
  • Deepen integrations with identity providers and stay up to date on the latest developments in agent identity.
  • Collaborate on hardening our own security posture.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to production incidents.
