Senior Security Engineer, Cloud, AI, Product Security
About The Position
Instacart is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join the Cloud, AI, and Product Security (CAPS) team. This team is responsible for securing Instacart's cloud infrastructure, AI systems, and product surfaces. The role involves identifying business-critical risks, analyzing them, defining remediation strategies, and developing scalable systems to promote secure engineering practices. The engineer will also own and drive systemic improvements and mentor other engineers within the organization. Instacart operates under a Flex First model, offering flexibility in work location while fostering connection through in-person events.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Security Engineering or Offensive Security roles.
- 3+ years of experience performing code reviews and design reviews.
- Knowledge of security bug classes and best practice remediation techniques.
- Understanding of SaaS architectures, common risks, and threat models.
- Experience with Variant Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, or Secure Frameworks.

- Track record of security research, competitive hacking, or OSS contributions.
