The eDrive Inverter Industrialization/Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing and documenting the key Inverter assembly processes as well as supporting the tier 1 Inverter assembler with implementing the Inverter assembly processes for production. Key responsibilities include: Developing and documenting Inverter manufacturing and assembly processes (i.e. laser welding, PCBA soldering, etc.) Develop and maintain engineering specifications for the Inverter assembly Support tier 1 Inverter assembler with adapting Inverter assembly processes toward mass production Contribute toward decision making of tier 1 Inverter assembler production equipment selection Prototyping manufacturing tools and fixtures to aid in the Inverter assembly process Support tier 1 Inverter assembler with developing/creating manufacturing tools and fixtures for production Conduct DOEs to prove out Inverter manufacturing and assembly processes Maintain and procure parts to develop prototype manufacturing tools/fixtures SPOC for the traction inverter commodity, supporting systems team to manage, track and report out on all timing, cost, engineering deliverable and issue status. Manages traction inverter component BOM and electrical interfaces/ device transmittals with cross-functional teams. Leading GPDS unit and program deliverables (unit requirements, design rules, etc.) and reporting out milestone status to cross-functional teams.
