Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field, plus a minimum of 3 years of experience in product engineering.
  • 1 year of experience in 3 of the following: electro-mechanical system design and manufacturing; systems engineering and integration; statistical methods for modeling multivariate data sets; statistical process control; vacuum systems; or semiconductors.
  • 1 year of experience in fluid mechanics and gas delivery.
  • 1 year of experience reading and working from electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams, and interpreting operation manuals.
  • 1 year of experience in statistical process control and basic statistical analysis used in production settings.
  • 1 year of experience in working with suppliers to source, procure, and perform failure analysis.
  • 1 year of experience in 1 of the following software/programs: CAD; OrCAD; LabView; Matlab; JMP; OpenMP; Fortran; C; C#; Python; CCM+; Fluent; Comsol; Origin; or Maxwell.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills and demonstrate expertise in a formal problem-solving methodology.
  • Strong Presentation Skills - demonstrate presentation skills, influence and effectiveness on complex content, in front of peers. Agility to respond to questions and respond well under pressure.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior product design and technical engineer experience is beneficial.
  • Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.
  • Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support to customers, field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging Etch Gas Delivery hardware.
  • Provide quality remote and on-site escalation support and escalation management.
  • Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or software bugs to design engineering/software engineering.
  • Provide software requirements for new features or operation of gas delivery hardware.
  • Work with suppliers to develop and qualify new components.
  • Performs testing and analyzes data for new and existing gas delivery hardware.
  • Creates and updates documentation for field service engineers and customers.
  • May be involved in customer installation and training.
  • Provides support to customers/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.
