About The Position

Veradigm is seeking a Product Director for Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to own the end-to-end RCM product strategy. This role involves defining roadmaps, assessing the current portfolio, identifying productization opportunities, and translating market trends into a coherent product vision. The Product Director will lead discovery programs, understand customer segments, and synthesize competitive intelligence. They will define product requirements, prioritize backlogs, and drive a high-quality product experience in collaboration with Engineering and Design. Additionally, this role serves as a product evangelist, supporting go-to-market strategies, field readiness, and key deals. The Product Director will also lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers, fostering a customer-centric culture and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This is a key leadership position focused on transforming healthcare through data-driven solutions.

Requirements

  • Experience in product strategy, vision, and productization within the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) domain.
  • Proven ability to define and manage product roadmaps.
  • Experience assessing product portfolios and identifying opportunities for productization.
  • Demonstrated understanding of market trends and regulatory changes impacting RCM (e.g., CMS, payer policy, prior authorization).
  • Experience leading structured product discovery programs.
  • Knowledge of SVPG principles (value, usability, feasibility, viability).
  • Deep understanding of RCM customer segments (independent practices, health systems, billing services).
  • Ability to synthesize competitive intelligence and market data.
  • Experience defining product requirements and managing prioritized backlogs.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with Engineering and Design teams.
  • Experience with feature prioritization and trade-off decisions.
  • Focus on usability, reliability, performance, security, and scalability in product development.
  • Experience in product evangelism and developing compelling product narratives.
  • Collaboration with Marketing on positioning, messaging, and content.
  • Experience in ensuring field readiness for product releases.
  • Ability to support key deals, strategic accounts, and RFP responses.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing product management teams.
  • Fostering a customer-centric, data-informed, and outcome-oriented product culture.
  • Experience recruiting product management talent and building inclusive teams.
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder updates.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory and compliance standards (HIPAA, CMS billing regulations, payer requirements).
  • Ability to monitor the regulatory environment and incorporate changes into product planning.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end RCM product strategy, defining short-term and mid-to-long-term roadmaps aligned with Veradigm's corporate direction and market evolution.
  • Assess the current RCM services portfolio and identify opportunities for productization, defining what should be a product, what should remain a service, and what should be retired.
  • Translate market trends, regulatory changes, and customer needs into a differentiated product vision.
  • Partner with leadership to align RCM strategy with overall company goals, communicating trade-offs and opportunities.
  • Identify white space and adjacency opportunities within the revenue cycle domain and build business cases for investment, partnerships, or M&A.
  • Lead structured discovery programs, including customer interviews, site visits, advisory councils, and quantitative research.
  • Apply SVPG principles to assess value, usability, feasibility, and viability before committing engineering resources.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of RCM customer segments and their distinct workflows, pain points, and success metrics.
  • Synthesize competitive intelligence and market data into actionable insights.
  • Define and communicate clear, outcome-driven product requirements and prioritized backlogs for engineering and design teams.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Design as a product trio, empowering the team to solve problems.
  • Define clear requirements and build cross-team relationships to influence roadmaps for capabilities owned by other teams.
  • Own feature prioritization and trade-off decisions, balancing innovation, technical health, compliance, and customer issues.
  • Drive a high-quality product experience, focusing on usability, reliability, performance, security, and scalability.
  • Serve as the chief product evangelist for RCM, translating capabilities into compelling narratives.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop positioning, messaging, and content.
  • Own field readiness for new releases, ensuring Sales, Customer Success, and Support are equipped.
  • Support key deals, strategic accounts, and RFP responses with expert product input.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product managers, establishing goals, expectations, and development pathways.
  • Foster a customer-centric, data-informed, and outcome-oriented product culture.
  • Ensure PMs spend time on discovery, customer interaction, and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Model intellectual honesty, customer obsession, and a bias toward learning.
  • Recruit top product management talent and build an inclusive team.
  • Regularly communicate product progress, wins, and challenges to stakeholders.
  • Ensure all RCM products meet applicable regulatory and compliance standards (HIPAA, CMS, payer requirements).
  • Proactively monitor the regulatory environment and incorporate upcoming changes into product planning.
