About The Position

This position is for an Internal Combustion Engine Propulsion and Thermal Systems Engineering (IPTSE) Engine Systems Engineer on an Engine Powerpack Team. The successful candidate will integrate engines into Ford products across the global manufacturing footprint for forward-model applications. The role works with Ford Engine Plants and Vehicle Assembly Plants on design and launch activities, and leads or supports resolution of design, manufacturing, quality, and launch issues. It translates customer, regulatory, and product requirements into engineering targets, drawings, and specifications; plans and analyzes verification testing; and uses customer feedback to identify and implement design and process improvements. The position also supports cost-reduction activities and requires travel as necessary to Ford plants, facilities, and supplier or sub-supplier sites for issue resolution and build support. The posting further describes Design and Release engineering duties involving product-release CAD and BOM structures, assembly positioning, mass-attribute analysis, supplier data integration, and CAD studies to drive design improvements.
