Requirements

  • Experience with CAE in UNV0-2 phases.
  • Experience with dyno testing on corner dynamometers.
  • Experience with final signoff on DCV vehicles for PEC.
  • Understanding of product release CAD and BOM structures.
  • Familiarity with assembly positioning and mass attribute analysis.
  • Experience with supplier data integration.
  • Proficiency in developing CAD studies.
  • Knowledge of product check-in/check-out processes, version control, data release, and change management within Ford’s PLM ecosystem.
  • Ability to perform feasibility analyses using CAD tools, including draft angle analysis, undercut detection, minimum bend radius validation for sheet metal, and clearance checks.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering the brake NVH performance for the program(s) you are assigned to.
  • Leading a team of suppliers, CAE, D&R and brake development engineers to develop the brake NVH attribute to meet Ford requirements.
  • Managing product release CAD and BOM structures, including assembly positioning and mass attribute analysis.
  • Facilitating supplier data integration and developing CAD studies to support and drive design improvements.
  • Understanding and effectively utilizing product check-in/check-out processes, version control, data release, and change management within Ford’s PLM ecosystem.
  • Performing feasibility analyses using CAD tools, including draft angle analysis, undercut detection, minimum bend radius validation for sheet metal, and clearance checks to support manufacturing and machining requirements.
