About The Position
The Product Development Coordinator leads new product development and continuous improvement initiatives within a food manufacturing environment. This role partners cross‑functionally to bring new products to market while ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and scalable manufacturing processes.
Requirements
- Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in food product development
- Strong knowledge of formulation, food processing, and regulations
- Experience with plant trials and commercialization
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP, and formulation tools

Responsibilities
- Lead product development from concept through commercialization
- Develop formulations, prototypes, and support shelf‑life optimization
- Plan and execute plant trials and product validations
- Improve existing products for quality, cost, and process efficiency
- Ensure compliance with CFIA, SFCR, and GFSI standards
- Manage multiple R&D projects, timelines, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with QA, Production, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing
- Support ingredient sourcing, supplier evaluations, and product launches
