About The Position
Printpack, a leading packaging company, is seeking a Product Development Co-op student for its Product Development and Business Development team. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Development, and Sales on strategic growth initiatives, enhancing both technical packaging skills and business acumen. The position is full-time, based in Williamsburg, VA, and reports to the Research Engineer. It provides hands-on experience with major US consumer products companies.
Requirements
- Sophomore or Junior working towards a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering or Packaging systems.
Nice To Haves
- Classes in chemistry, polymer science, plastics processing, computer aided design/drafting, packaging, materials science engineering, and food science are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Producing and testing of prototype samples
- R&D trial coverage
- Project management
- Test method development for packaging and plastic materials
