About The Position

Printpack is one of the most innovative and progressive packaging companies in the world, embodying employee-centric values. The Product Development and Business Development team is seeking a Product Development Co-op student. This experience will provide a unique opportunity to work directly with Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Development, and Sales on strategic growth platforms, honing technical packaging skills as well as business acumen. This is a full-time position located in Williamsburg, VA and will report to the Research Engineer. It offers hands-on experience on challenging projects with large consumer products companies in the US.

Requirements

• Sophomore or Junior working towards a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering or Packaging systems.

Nice To Haves

• Classes in chemistry, polymer science, plastics processing, computer aided design/drafting, packaging, materials science engineering, and food science are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Producing and testing of prototype samples
• R&D trial coverage
• Project management
• Test method development for packaging and plastic materials
