About The Position

We are looking for a mid-level Product Designer to join our growing design team and help shape the next stage of Isla's product experience. Reporting to our Product Design Lead and partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and our Clinical Safety Officer, you'll play a key role in improving UX and UI across our product. You'll help create the conditions for great design to thrive: advocating for strong design-led thinking, improving design practices, and ensuring design remains an enabler rather than a bottleneck as we scale.

Requirements

Strong end-to-end product design skills, with a focus on design systems and UI
Systems thinking - understanding how changes in one area can impact others across a complex, multi-user product
Experience working with Engineers and AI tools to build and maintain design systems
Expertise in accessibility and inclusive design

Responsibilities

Design complex clinical and patient-facing experiences end-to-end, from flows and wireframes through to polished UI and implementation-ready designs
Ensure user needs are represented throughout the product development process, from early discovery and problem definition through to delivery and iteration
Influence our approach to AI - explore and experiment with AI tools within the design workflow, helping identify practical ways they can improve speed, quality and collaboration
Work closely with our Engineers to drive forward our design system, ensuring it is usable, accessible, and AI-ready
Improve UX quality across the platform - proactively identify friction, inconsistencies, and opportunities to simplify workflows and improve the overall user experience
