About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Product, we are looking for a Product Designer. As our new Product Designer, you will work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to bring ideas to life through research, prototyping, and high-fidelity design. You will play a key role in crafting intuitive and engaging user experiences that align with business goals while advocating for user needs. From wireframing and interaction design to usability testing and iterative improvements, you will help create seamless digital experiences that delight our users and drive business impact. This is a hybrid opportunity, working Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays on-site in our downtown Toronto office. Our headquarters are located within minutes of St. Andrew and Union subway stations.

Requirements

  • Experience in product or UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio that showcases your expertise in design thinking, interaction design, and visual storytelling.
  • Deep understanding of user needs, balancing aesthetics with functionality.
  • Experience iterating quickly, making informed decisions, and taking ownership of your deliverables.
  • Proficient in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Understand design systems, component libraries, and responsive design principles.
  • Comfortable with user research methodologies, usability testing, and data-driven design improvements, ensuring your decisions are informed by user behaviour and insights.
  • Thrive in an Agile, cross-functional environment, working closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to bring ideas to life.
  • Solution-oriented, open to feedback, and able to balance multiple priorities.
  • Able to pivot when needed, ensuring design aligns with business goals and user needs.
  • Actively contribute to team discussions, brainstorming sessions, and sprint planning, bringing a problem-solving mindset to every challenge.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to confidently present and defend design decisions.
  • Know how to ask the right questions, gather feedback, and translate insights into actionable design solutions.
  • Empathetic and value diverse perspectives, creating inclusive designs that resonate with a broad audience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design process. You will own the full product design lifecycle—from concept to execution—ensuring a seamless and impactful user experience. As part of a dedicated product pod, you will collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to align design goals with business objectives. You will play a key role in shaping the product roadmap, anticipating design needs, and ensuring that user insights drive decision-making.
  • Design. You will create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs that bring ideas to life. You will refine and enhance features through user research, usability testing, and iterative design to optimize engagement and usability. Your work will be guided by a data-driven approach, ensuring every design decision is backed by insights and real-world user behaviour.
  • Maintain and evolve design standards. You will maintain and advance our design systems and component libraries, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability across all products. As an advocate for UX/UI best practices and accessibility standards, you will champion a user-first approach that enhances inclusivity and usability.
  • Continuous improvement. You will stay at the forefront of the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, continuously sharpening your skills and evolving your approach. Whether through experimentation, learning from industry leaders, or contributing to design innovation, you will help push our team and products forward.
