The Comms team builds the foundational capabilities that help Expedia Group engage travelers and partners with the right message, at the right time, through the right channel. In this role, you’ll design frameworks and tools to enable consistent, personalized communications across EG’s brands and make it easier for teams to create, manage, and understand customer communications. Our Comms Hub is at the center of this strategy and you’ll work to create prototypes and AI-powered experiences to support all our communication channels across in-app messages, push notifications and emails. Ultimately, you’ll own the designs that help the Comms team to deliver more proactive, relevant experiences while improving communication quality, scalability, and trust.

Requirements

Bachelors or equivalent in Product Design, User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
5+ years of professional experience working in Product Design, User Experience Design or a related professional field.
Experience translating product requirements into design strategy and then acting on that strategy to deliver proposed design solutions which meet those requirements.
Experience mapping customer journeys and leveraging user stories and personas to inform design strategy.
Experience crafting design deliverables at various fidelities, including wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
Experience leveraging design systems and shared component libraries to ensure consistency and velocity.
Experience thoughtfully leveraging emergent AI tools to streamline design processes without compromising quality.
Experience collaborating with a range of diverse stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Content and Research.
Strong attention to design and visual detail.
Knowledge of current design tools and software.
A portfolio showcasing design skills representative of your work at each stage of a product life cycle, from conception to release, that details the team, thought processes, successes, and pivots along the way.

Design simple, elegant, trustworthy experiences that optimize user engagement, product performance, and business impact—while holding a high design quality bar.
Incorporate research and test findings to identify insights, considering multiple sources of information to make informed design decisions and determine the right solution.
Communicate crisp traveler-centric product narratives to a range of internal and external stakeholders, through effective visual storytelling.
Thoughtfully leverage emergent agentic design and prototyping tools to streamline design processes without compromising quality.
Partner effectively with Product and Engineering stakeholders, collaborating on requirements, concepts and deliverables where appropriate.
Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless implementation and understand the nuance between hard tech-constraints and opportunities to challenge conventions.
