About The Position

Ambrook is rebuilding the financial infrastructure for American family-run businesses, helping them become more profitable and resilient. We are replacing fragmented legacy systems with modern tools for accounting, banking, and spending, providing owners with the data needed to prove viability to lenders and future generations. As a Series A startup backed by prominent investors, we are seeking early team members to contribute to the intersection of American industry, climate, and the economy. This role involves owning product design and autonomously building those designs into the product. The ideal candidate is comfortable prototyping in code and opening PRs, utilizing coding agents as part of their workflow, and possesses strong taste, judgment, and a willingness to experiment. We have adapted to recent changes in product and design by integrating AI to streamline busy work, allowing designers more time for creative tasks and end-to-end implementation. You will join a talented design team, adapting to market shifts while delivering exceptional products for our growing customer base.

Requirements

• Track record of integrating with customers and experts to find untapped product opportunities.
• Ability to take an idea from a sketch to a working prototype to a shipped PR.
• Fluent with design and AI tools.
• Comfortable concepting a design proposal pitch, prototyping it into something compelling, and pairing with engineers or coding agents to build.
• Demonstrate a pragmatic approach to taste and craft, flexing impressive interfaces while accommodating the unexpected constraints of industrial personas.
• Curious about and empathetic to the domain we operate in.
• Portfolio or presented works that tell the story of your experience, skills, and craft.
