UPLIFT Desk is seeking an Acoustics Product Designer to lead the design and development of our acoustic product line. This role is responsible for creating functional, manufacturable, and visually cohesive sound-absorbing solutions that enhance modern workspaces. You will own the full design lifecycle from concept through production, combining strong industrial design expertise with a deep understanding of acoustic performance, materials, and manufacturability. Portfolio required with application.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product design experience, with a focus on acoustic products or similar categories
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and visualization tools (KeyShot, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Solid understanding of acoustic principles, including sound absorption and diffusion
  • Experience designing for manufacturing, including materials, cost, and scalability considerations
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong design thinking, material exploration, and execution

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing modular systems or workspace products
  • Knowledge of sustainable or recycled materials (e.g., PET felt, acoustic composites)
  • Experience working with global manufacturers or suppliers
  • Familiarity with installation systems or hardware design
  • Awareness of workplace or interior design trends
  • Experience with acoustic panels, architectural systems, or furniture preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of acoustic products from concept through production
  • Define and evolve the design language of the acoustic product line
  • Create 3D models, prototypes, and production-ready designs
  • Research and test materials for acoustic performance, durability, and cost
  • Design modular and user-friendly installation systems
  • Ensure products meet structural, manufacturing, and cost requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering and sourcing
  • Identify and evaluate manufacturing partners
  • Monitor market trends and competitor products to inform and evolve product strategy
  • Deliver production-ready CAD and engineering documentation
