About The Position

The Product Design Engineering Co-op works at the earliest stages of product innovation, between Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineering. The role contributes to developing new product concepts for Shark by using hands-on prototyping, user-centered thinking, and technical problem-solving. The co-op collaborates with cross-functional teams to translate insights and real-world challenges into elegant, viable product solutions that balance function, aesthetics, ergonomics, and user experience. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week co-op running January through June, with at least five days per week onsite in Needham, Massachusetts.
