Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide customs and export control classification for ABB products, purchased third-party products, software, and raw materials. Each day, you will ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and guidelines. You will also showcase your expertise by conducting thorough research and analysis of ABB products to determine the appropriate product classification codes and standards. The work model for the role is Hybrid. Remote work is a possibility for the right candidate. This role is contributing to the Automation, Marine and Ports Division and will support the US and Canada. You will be mainly accountable for: Providing classification of products, software, and/or technologies as part of new product introduction cycle. Managing and updating master data for products, technologies, and software, including product description, Harmonized Tariff Scheme (HTS) code, and Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN), etc., and/or supporting customs declarants with product information required for master data management and entries. Providing guidance and support to relevant teams regarding product classification-related inquiries or issues. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Business Administration, or a related field is strongly preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, import/export operations, customs compliance, or international trade administration.
  • Experience working within a multinational or global organization preferred.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. import/export regulations and customs procedures.
  • Knowledge of export controls, sanctions compliance, and international trade regulations.
  • Familiarity with HTS classification, ECCN determination, and customs valuation principles.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of CA regulations is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP, SAP GTS, or similar ERP and trade compliance systems preferred.
