About The Position

In this role, you will perform engineering product data change control activities that are critical to the integrity of our manufacturing processes. You will collaborate closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to maintain system part information, drawings, manufacturing routings, and engineering documentation, while building a strong foundation in change management. This position plays a vital role in ensuring engineering design intent, and requirements are accurately translated and executed within manufacturing process instructions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with product configuration concepts, including bills of materials and process routings.
  • Familiarity with change management tools such as ERP, PLM, or similar systems.
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as product drawings, process routings, and operational and quality procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
  • Experience writing or editing technical or business documentation.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Copilot
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain effective controls and tracking of configuration management records using identified systems for critical engineering data including parts, specifications, drawings, documentation and manufacturing routings.
  • Work with engineering, manufacturing, and other functions to ensure changes are documented correctly.
  • Review changes for completeness, correctness, and proper authorizations, then perform system updates.
  • Perform configuration audits and document results.
  • Provide training to process participants to facilitate effective configuration management processes and procedures, as needed.
  • Provide documentation writing and editing support, as needed.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the Silfex Quality Management System and properly apply Quality Procedures and Operating Procedures.
  • Perform other duties assigned by department management.
  • Limited travel between Silfex plant locations may be required on an as-needed basis.

  • Assist in applying lean manufacturing concepts and 5S. Demonstrate ownership of continuous improvement ideas and activities. Maintain organization and cleanliness, housekeeping and 5S within work area. Maintain these areas at the highest degree possible while responsibly escalating any maintenance issues.
