About The Position

The Product Assistant is an integral member of Kingfisher’s Range team, supporting the Product Lead in the day-to-day management of product ranges. The role contributes to the design and development of unique product ranges and involves interpreting customer insight, maintaining accurate product data, and liaising with colleagues across the business. The Range team researches customers, markets, locations, and emerging trends, and develops product ranges and brands from strategy through product design and packaging.

This is a six-month fixed-term contract. The posting refers to Southampton and London Paddington as locations, while stating that other locations may be considered. Kingfisher operates a hybrid model, combining home working with in-person collaboration; around 60% of working time involves in-person collaboration.

Requirements

• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities and work to tight deadlines.
• Confidence using MS Office, Outlook, and internet-based tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the design of new and unique Kingfisher product ranges.
• Coordinate, collect, and centralise category data and actions, ensuring delivery within required timelines.
• Provide timely guidance and practical solutions to stakeholders to optimise category efficiency and implementation.
• Act as a key point of contact for the category, communicating across the wider matrix team and with colleagues across nine Operating Companies in Europe.
• Collect and analyse customer and product trends, using insights to support category decisions.
• Support improvements to working processes that enhance organisation and ways of working within the category.
• Support the Product Lead in the day-to-day management of product ranges.
• Manage product data information to ensure key details are up to date.
