About the position
The job overview for this role is to lead and mentor a team of product analysts, with a focus on delivering actionable insights and recommendations. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to synthesize complex data into clear and actionable insights. The successful candidate will also need to have strong communication and collaboration skills, as they will be responsible for building relationships with stakeholders and influencing decision-making through data. Additionally, experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools, as well as a background in data modeling and ETL development, is required.
Responsibilities
- Build, onboard and lead a team of product analysts, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance management
- Work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to prioritize and solve complex business problems
- Develop and maintain an analytics roadmap, identifying and prioritizing the most impactful analyses and experiments
- Develop and maintain analytical metrics, ensuring they are relevant for the business, accurate and meaningful for measuring product performance
- Conduct analyses and experiments to learn user’s behavior and identify trends and opportunities for improving the product experience
- Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, using data to influence product strategy and decision-making
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product analytics, with a track record of delivering actionable insights and recommendations
- Minimum 3 years experience leading and mentoring a team of product analysts (4-5 analysts), with a focus on developing talent and driving results
- Experience in mentoring and helping others reach their full potential. Passion for supporting and empowering team members by providing guidance, constructive feedback, and creating opportunities for professional development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear and actionable insights
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders and influence decision-making through data
- An ability to understand complex ideas and simplify it to relevant stakeholders
- Strong SQL skills, with experience querying large and complex data sets
- Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, etc.)
- Experience in data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing
- Experience in fast-paced, high-intensity work environment
- B.S in one of the following: Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
