About The Position

Heartflow is seeking a Product Analytics Manager to own product analytics for its expanding platform. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Analytics, this person will partner with Product, Engineering, and Commercial leaders to understand how customers adopt, use, and gain value from Heartflow products. The role combines hands-on analysis and technical work with strategic influence: defining event taxonomies, writing complex SQL, building dashboards, presenting recommendations, and shaping the product roadmap. The manager will establish product measurement foundations, design and evaluate experiments, and use quantitative and qualitative evidence to assess product behavior and customer experience. They will also advance the application of AI tools in analytics to accelerate analysis, automate recurring work, and make insights more accessible. The work takes place in a regulated medical-device environment and includes attention to data privacy, governance, and quality.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in product analytics, including experimentation design and analysis, cohort and retention analysis, funnel analysis, and feature adoption measurement.
  • Strong statistical foundation in hypothesis testing, power and sample-size analysis, regression, and causal inference.
  • Advanced SQL and proficiency in Python for analysis, modeling, and automation.
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
  • Strong BI and data visualization skills.
  • Hands-on experience with product analytics and observability platforms, including designing event schemas and tracking plans with Engineering.
  • Practical, regular use of LLM tools to accelerate analysis and coding, and curiosity about applying AI to analytics workflows and products.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous business questions into structured analyses and complex results into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience with Product, Engineering, Design, Customer Success, and Commercial teams, and ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Strong product sense and business acumen, including ability to connect user behavior to customer value and company outcomes.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with a bias for action and commitment to data quality and analytical rigor.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related field, including at least 3 years focused on product analytics.
  • Demonstrated track record of designing and analyzing experiments that influenced product decisions.
  • Experience leading analytics instrumentation projects in partnership with Engineering.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree.
  • Experience with semantic layers or metrics stores such as Cube or dbt.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data privacy requirements such as HIPAA and experience in a regulated environment.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, healthcare technology, or medical devices.
  • Experience mentoring or managing analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Own the analytical agenda for the Heartflow platform, identify product features, workflows, and behaviors that drive adoption, retention, and utilization, and translate findings into prioritized recommendations for Product and Commercial leadership.
  • Design, run, and analyze experiments such as A/B tests, feature flags, and staged rollouts using hypotheses, power analysis, and success metrics; use quasi-experimental approaches when randomized tests are not feasible.
  • Define and maintain a product metrics framework covering north-star, activation, engagement, retention, and feature adoption metrics, with governed definitions that connect product usage to commercial outcomes.
  • Partner with Engineering to implement event tracking in Mixpanel and observability signals in Datadog; own tracking plans and event taxonomies and establish data-quality assurance processes.
  • Build cohort, funnel, and lifecycle analyses at user and site level to understand adoption ramp, engagement, and churn risk, and develop product health indicators for Customer Success and Sales.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and self-service reporting that provide Product, Engineering, and executive stakeholders visibility into product performance.
  • Define launch success criteria, measure post-launch performance, and conduct structured readouts.
  • Combine product usage data with customer feedback, support tickets, surveys, and user research to understand the customer experience.
  • Promote AI and LLM use across analytics, including code generation, automated analysis, natural-language access to product data, and AI-assisted tools.
  • Ensure product analytics practices follow Heartflow's data-handling, privacy, and quality policies, partnering with Data Engineering, Security, and Quality/Regulatory teams as needed.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership using clear narratives and visuals, mentor analysts, and promote analytical rigor across the team.
