OpenRoad Toyota Port Moody is seeking a Product Advisor to join their Sales department. This is a full-time position within one of the largest and fastest-growing automotive retail groups in the country. Requirements

  • Good interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information while maintaining a great deal of professionalism.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong computer skills (internet & MS Office), with ability to maintain records using a computerized system.
  • Effective negotiation skills, with ability to make sound decisions consistent with essential job functions.
  • A Current VSA MDC License.
  • A valid British Columbia Driver’s License with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by determining prospective clients' vehicle needs through questioning and listening.
  • Promote new business and contribute to the company's customer base by seeking new customers through prospecting and referral networks.
  • Sell new and pre-owned vehicles, and demonstrate vehicles, including test drives.
  • Understand automobile business terminology and stay updated on technological changes in products and inventory.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with all products, including features, specifications, prices, colors, options, and standard equipment. Participate in all available product training.
  • Effectively use closing techniques and seek management assistance when necessary, while being profit-minded.
  • Deliver new and pre-owned vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand operating features, warranty, and paperwork to foster customer loyalty.
  • Introduce customers to Service Department personnel to highlight the quality and efficiency of dealership service operations.
  • Set monthly productivity goals and plan how to achieve them.
  • Follow all dealership processes and procedures to ensure excellent Customer Satisfaction Index ratings on sales, delivery, and follow-up.
  • Attend department meetings as required.
  • Follow company safety policies and practices, and immediately report any accidents to a Manager/Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
