About The Position

We Insure Risk, A Division of Patriot Growth Insurance Services, is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Employee Benefits Producer. This role involves serving as a trusted advisor to business clients, guiding them through employee benefits, human resources challenges, and risk management strategies. The ideal candidate will be consultative, sales-oriented, and passionate about building long-term client relationships while delivering customized employee benefits solutions. This position is crucial for driving new business growth, supporting client retention, and expanding the agency's employee benefits presence in the business community.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in employee benefits sales, insurance sales, business development, or a related field preferred; strong candidates with transferable sales experience will be considered.
  • Active Life & Health insurance license required.
  • Experience working with employee benefits products, group health plans, and employer-sponsored benefit programs preferred.
  • Experience with BenefitPoint or similar agency management systems preferred.
  • Strong business development, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, carrier partners, and internal team members.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop relationships with middle-market and large-market businesses seeking guidance and support with their employee benefits programs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by providing consultative recommendations related to employee benefits, human resources challenges, and risk management solutions.
  • Develop customized employee benefits strategies by leveraging carrier relationships, agency resources, and available products and services.
  • Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, prospecting, and community involvement activities.
  • Build, manage, and grow a profitable book of employee benefits business while maintaining a strong focus on client retention.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and educational sessions to help business owners and employees better understand available benefits solutions.
  • Manage renewal strategies and provide high-level ongoing service to ensure strong client relationships and long-term account growth.
  • Collaborate with internal Account Management and Service teams to deliver a seamless client experience and ensure service expectations are met.
  • Work closely with other sales teams throughout the organization to identify and capitalize on cross-selling opportunities.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, carrier products, and emerging employee benefits solutions.
  • Maintain accurate prospect and client records within agency systems and sales tools.
  • Represent the agency professionally within the business community and cultivate relationships with key referral partners and industry stakeholders.
