About The Position

DRiV is a global leader in automotive products for original equipment and aftermarket customers, with a significant worldwide presence. This Producer Associate role, specifically for the 2nd Shift LG Dept 110, requires knowledge and skills beyond those of an Operator, focusing on manufacturing equipment, machinery, and information systems. The position involves troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, ensuring work meets production and quality standards, and reporting any production-impacting issues to the Operations Supervisor. Adherence to safety, health, and environmental guidelines is mandatory. This role is classified as Non-Exempt.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in various areas of the manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to assist others when complex issues arise in area of expertise.
  • Ability to interface with Engineering and Quality Technicians to resolve issues or handle special projects/requests.
  • Ability to be certified to complete 1st article checks.
  • Proficient with tools, programs and equipment needed to perform job duties.
  • Work assignments are fairly routine, and work is closely supervised.
  • Typically, 1 – 2 years of experience for Associate Level.
  • Typically, 2 – 4 years of experience for Core Level.
  • Works under general supervision (Core Level).
  • Works independently to complete assignments (Senior Level).
  • Regularly required to climb/balance, stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl, bend, stand, handle materials, and manipulate objects.
  • Ability to see objects up close or at a distance, in color, adjust focus, and use peripheral vision regularly.
  • Continuously lifting objects weighing 5lb – 20lb, frequently lifting objects 20lb – 40lb, and occasionally or seldom lifting objects 40lb – 75lb.

  • Successful completion of high school highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties in the assigned work area, including machine and specialized equipment operations, mill operations, shipping and receiving, materials handling, warehouse and dock, quality, laser cutting, mold cleaning, high rise/turret truck, and others.
  • Set up, operate, or shut down equipment and run computer programs needed to complete and document work assignments.
  • Follow safety procedures and DRIV’s safety policy at all times, and notify the Operations Supervisor of unsafe or hazardous working conditions immediately.
  • Follow Quality Management System requirements as outlined for the job.
  • Suggest ways for continual improvement for the work unit assigned and to ways to improve efficiencies between work units.
  • Perform visual and functional inspections according to engineering drawings/specifications and general quality inspection.
  • Be certified or have the ability to be certified to complete 1st article checks.
  • Precisely follow written instructions as outlined on press cards, standard work, or work instructions.
  • Perform 5S Housekeeping and work area cleaning tasks.
  • Resolve minor issues that hinder or slow the progress in the work area.
  • Perform other tasks and assignments consistent with knowledge and training.
  • Set up, troubleshoot, and operate specific presses in D110, including Traveling Head Press, Preco Press, Beam Press 725, Beam Press 341, Beam Press 862, and Press 756.
