About The Position

The Produce & Floral Specialist is the store’s point person for produce, floral, and gift center department excellence. The role ensures product freshness, merchandising accuracy, food safety compliance, inventory accuracy, rotation standards, and presentation while supporting guest engagement and department readiness for promotions and seasonal events. The specialist works with department leadership on ordering and replenishment, verifies deliveries, maintains planograms and signage, and supports front-end operations during peak periods. The position requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays, and involves prolonged standing or walking, repetitive movements, lifting and handling products, exposure to extreme temperatures, and use of specified equipment and protective gear.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.
• Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure produce, floral, and gift center products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of produce, floral, and gift center items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness and ensure proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Support compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Support front-end operations during peak business times as a cashier or in other areas.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach when on the sales floor.
