About The Position

The Produce Clerk provides excellent guest service through activities in the produce department. The role prepares and displays produce, maintains product freshness and quality, assists with deliveries, supports guests with product information and weighing, and keeps department areas sanitary. The clerk also communicates guest requests and temperature breakdowns to management, performs front-porch duties to help ensure there is no noticeable wait, and completes other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and 25 pounds constantly.
• Ability to read and understand information and directions.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Prepare produce for display on the sales floor.
• Stock, price, rotate, and display products according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain the freshness and quality of produce for sale.
• Assist with unloading product deliveries.
• Assist guests with product knowledge, preparation, and weighing.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the backroom, cooler, and sales area.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to management.
• Perform front-porch duties to help ensure there is no noticeable wait.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
