About The Position

The Produce Associate is responsible for keeping the produce department fresh, attractive, and ready for customers. The role includes receiving and verifying deliveries, maintaining produce quality, preparing fresh-cut fruit, stocking and organizing the sales floor, and cleaning department equipment and work areas. Associates are expected to provide courteous customer service and work professionally with teammates and management. Both full-time and part-time positions are offered.

Requirements

• Be courteous, punctual, professional, and high-energy.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and transport heavy produce crates using a hand truck in a busy environment.
• Attention to detail when weighing incoming items and identifying produce that needs rotation or culling.
• A can-do attitude and willingness to assist management and fellow associates.

Responsibilities

• Unload fresh and boxed produce from delivery trucks using hand trucks.
• Count, weigh, and verify incoming items against invoices.
• Examine and rotate stock in storage to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Cut and prepare fruit into portions for individual sale and package it attractively.
• Stock and organize the sales floor and maintain a clean, safe shopping environment.
• Clean slicers, prep containers, and storage rooms using high-pressure hoses and brooms.
• Safely operate slicers, knives, and heated wrapping stations.
• Greet customers courteously and assist management and fellow associates in providing customer service.
