About The Position

Halliburton is hiring for Procurement Specialist opportunities, with potential consideration for a Senior Procurement Specialist role depending on qualifications, experience, skill level, and business needs. Under direct supervision, the position plans sourcing of goods and services to support manufacturing, field operations, technology, or project management strategic plans at the plant level. The role executes Category Management strategies in accordance with company policies and procedures and issues purchase orders based on material requirements from manufacturing, field operations, or projects. It also implements local procurement agreements for goods and services not covered by Category Management, manages competitive supplier bidding, and assesses supplier performance. The work can indirectly affect cost containment, efficiency, profitability, and operations. The role uses SAP S/4HANA and other procurement or ERP systems to manage purchasing activities, supplier information, transactions, and reporting.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a technical, business, or similar discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in procurement or a production environment.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced procurement certification, such as CPM.
• Purchase to Pay knowledge.
• Qualifications exceeding the minimum requirements may be considered for higher-level roles, including Senior Procurement Specialist, depending on experience, additional job requirements, and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan sourcing of goods and services in support of plant-level manufacturing, field operations, technology, or project management strategic plans.
• Execute Category Management strategies in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Issue purchase orders in response to material requirements established by manufacturing, field operations, or projects.
• Implement agreements for local procurement of goods and services not covered under Category Management.
• Create requests for quotations (RFQs) and organize competitive bids from suppliers to obtain the best quality, delivery, and price.
• Assess supplier performance.
• Use SAP S/4HANA and other procurement or ERP systems to manage purchasing activities, supplier information, transactions, and reporting.
