About The Position

The Procurement Specialist supports strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost reduction initiatives for assigned commodities within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for analyzing supplier capabilities, monitoring market trends, supporting supplier selection decisions, and helping achieve cost, quality, delivery, and development objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Finance, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, sourcing, or a related business function.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with purchase order management.
• Project coordination experience.
• SAP experience.
• Exposure to supplier management or sourcing processes.
• Prior negotiation experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing and supplier activities for assigned commodities, supporting supplier selection, pricing analysis, and procurement strategy.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving cost reduction, quality, delivery, and performance objectives.
• Research market trends, industry developments, and material costs to identify risks and opportunities within the supply base.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and product development, to support new product launches and sourcing initiatives.
• Maintain procurement data, supplier records, purchase information, and Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy.
• Support supplier negotiations, quotation management, and continuous improvement efforts to achieve business and cost-saving goals.
