Procurement Specialist, Operations and Supply Chain
About The Position
Nestlé USA is seeking an Associate Operational Buyer to support factory purchasing activities across indirect materials, services, capital expenditure purchases, and maintenance spare parts. Reporting to the Factory Controller, the role processes purchasing transactions and helps ensure compliance with Nestlé procurement processes, policies, bid requirements, and controls. The position works with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, supports vendor onboarding and sourcing activities, and contributes to cost savings and purchasing efficiencies in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, finance, supply chain, or a related function.
- Experience using SAP in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial environment.
- Experience supporting the procurement lifecycle, including requisition processing, supplier engagement, purchase order management, and compliance activities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, including vendor setup, purchasing transactions, capital projects, and operational requests.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders while maintaining compliance with purchasing policies and established procurement processes.

Responsibilities
- Use SAP to process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor transactions supporting factory operations.
- Review purchase requests for accuracy, supplier alignment, account coding, and compliance with procurement policies.
- Coordinate purchasing for indirect materials, services, capital projects, and maintenance spare parts.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to obtain quotes, onboard vendors, and support the end-to-end procurement process.
- Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, bid requirements, and procurement controls, including maintaining documentation for purchase requests and supplier selection.
- Support cost savings initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify purchasing efficiencies and sourcing opportunities.
