About The Position

The Procurement Specialist IV is an experienced individual contributor responsible for managing complex sourcing activities, supplier relationships, and procurement projects within assigned categories. This role supports category strategy development, leads competitive sourcing events, negotiates commercial terms, and partners with internal stakeholders to deliver cost savings, service improvements, and compliant purchasing outcomes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related discipline preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7–10 years of progressive procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or vendor management experience.
  • Experience managing competitive bids, supplier evaluations, purchase agreements, and pricing negotiations.
  • Working knowledge of procurement processes, contract terms, supplier management practices, and purchase order requirements.
  • Proficiency with spend analysis, bid tabs, supplier scorecards, and procurement reporting tools.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with vendors, field teams, project stakeholders, and management.
  • Ability to manage multiple sourcing activities, priorities, and deadlines with limited supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or progress toward certification.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Procurement, Oracle Unifier, or similar procurement and project management systems.
  • Experience supporting construction, facilities, fuel, logistics, or project-based procurement categories.
  • Familiarity with process improvement, standard work, or operational excellence practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sourcing activities for assigned categories, including bid preparation, supplier evaluation, award recommendations, and contract coordination.
  • Support the development and execution of category strategies for moderate to high value spend areas.
  • Lead negotiations for pricing, commercial terms, service levels, and supplier commitments within established approval limits.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, project teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and support timely purchasing decisions.
  • Monitor supplier performance, resolve routine to moderately complex supplier issues, and escalate high-risk matters as appropriate.
  • Prepare spend analysis, savings tracking, bid comparisons, and supplier performance reporting for management review.
  • Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, contract requirements, approval workflows, and applicable documentation standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve pricing, service levels, lead times, and supplier accountability across assigned categories.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Risk, Safety, and other internal teams to support contract review and supplier onboarding activities.
  • Provide guidance to junior procurement team members on sourcing process, documentation, and supplier communication.
