About The Position

The role is responsible for supporting the execution of the North American material inventory policy across multiple manufacturing locations. The Procurement Specialist is responsible for ensuring material supply for specific manufacturing locations in NA. The Procurement Specialist will provide cross functional support in identifying and addressing material risk to protect business attainment & adherence metrics. The Procurement Specialist in the North America Procurement Service Center plays a critical role in McCain’s efforts to be a best-in-class purchaser of materials for use in the manufacture of food products, provides strategic supply chain support in the planning, delivery and storage of raw and packaging materials required for production at McCain’s North American plants.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the material inventory policy through MRP analytics and purchase order execution aligned with inventory targets.
  • Manage inbound material risk through a defined process to mitigate attainment & adherence impact.
  • Provide support in the escalation, and resolution of material risk/impact.
  • Support Procurement S&OE lead, ensuring real time visibility to material risk.
  • Ensure accuracy of material attainment and adherence reporting for their responsible manufacturing locations.
  • Provide input to cross functional partners including operations, planning, sales and marketing.
  • Ensure individual accountability for performance deliverables in their specific location.
  • Accountability for SMI management to ensure vendors are accountable in the process.
