Requirements

3+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience, preferably within construction, building materials, or a related industry.
Strong negotiation, vendor management, and inventory control capabilities.
Experience with ERP/MRP and inventory management systems, along with Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
Ability to continuously look for ways to improve efficiency with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end purchasing for inventory, job sites, and operational needs across our multiple branches.
Source and evaluate vendors while negotiating competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reliable delivery.
Build strategic supplier relationships and serve as our primary point of contact for key vendors.
Collaborate with operations, project managers, warehouse teams, and leadership to forecast material needs and align purchasing with demand.
Manage inventory levels to help minimize shortages, excess stock, and carrying costs.
Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and supply chain risks, proactively addressing disruptions before they affect operations.
Drive cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvements to our purchasing processes.
Utilize ERP/MRP and inventory management systems to coordinate purchasing, reporting, and inventory while helping establish procurement best practices.
Be a subject-matter expert, mentoring junior staff.
