About The Position

Aston Carter Partnering with a Leading Manufacturer in the Area. We are seeking a Buyer to join a growing procurement and supply chain team supporting a complex manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a procurement professional who enjoys balancing day-to-day purchasing responsibilities with strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier management. Requirements

5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or buying roles.
Experience working within an ERP system and utilizing MRP planning processes.
Strong supplier relationship management and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively across departments and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Background in manufacturing, packaging, ingredients, raw materials, or related procurement categories preferred.
Experience supporting multiple facilities, locations, or complex supply chains is highly valued.
Exposure to strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, RFPs, cost-savings initiatives, or supplier scorecards is a plus.
Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

Manage approximately $20M in spend, including corrugate, labels, flexible packaging, preformed bags, and related categories.
Execute purchasing activities, including purchase order management, inventory planning, and material replenishment.
Run and maintain MRP-driven planning processes within an ERP environment.
Support multiple manufacturing facilities by ensuring materials are available in the right place at the right time.
Monitor inventory levels, outage reports, and supplier performance.
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, project teams, and leadership stakeholders.
Lead or support sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and RFP processes.
Participate in new product development projects by working with suppliers on packaging solutions, pricing, testing, and implementation.
Drive continuous improvement efforts and identify opportunities for process enhancements.
