About The Position

Wavetronix, the global leader in radar-based vehicle detection technologies, seeks a Procurement Specialist I to help us proactively manage the supply chain. This person will be a critical team member in a high-paced environment that includes general procurement responsibilities and supplier relationship management. They will actively participate in an environment of continuous improvement and will develop skills and traits to become an effective leader.

• High school diploma and 3+ years of related experience in Purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain support role OR Associate/Bachelors in supply chain, business, or related field and 1+ years of experience dependent on degree level.
• Low “drama,” stabilizing team influence and building the team upwards.
• Working to constantly improve processes and improve personally.
• Ability to solve problems.
• Ability to stay focused and engaged in routine tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Gain basic Oracle Fusion knowledge of key interface screens.
• Understand how Wavetronix products are manufactured.
• Gain understanding of 3-way paperwork matching for Accounts Payable activities.
• Learn basic procurement practices with the ability to begin making purchases with little oversight.
• Understand the long-term vision and direction of the Wavetronix campus.
• Deepen Oracle Fusion understanding.

Responsibilities

• Purchase supplies and materials as assigned with some oversight.
• Form initial relationships with key supply chain partners and internal customers.
• Demonstrate ability to expedite shortages.
• Learn basic project management skills.
• Proactively manage supplier relationships as assigned by Procurement Manager.
• Participate in cross-functional procurement projects from planning through close-out.
• Develop the skills required to back-up and assist others on the procurement team.
• Understand sourcing strategies and contribute to cross-functional collaboration with engineering, production, and finance teams.
• Contribute regularly to process-improvement initiatives.
• Strive to find ways to contribute to personal, team, and company growth.
• Collaborate actively in a team-oriented environment to accomplish shared goals and support cross-functional initiatives.
• Communicate proactively and professionally with team members and managers to share updates, resolve issues, and ensure alignment.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance personal growth, improve role-related skills, and contribute to team success.
• Perform other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as listed in GlassFrog.
• Support other teams as assigned that may fall outside the essential duties and responsibilities of the role.
