This position serves as the Department of Revenue’s senior procurement specialist, taking the lead on purchases for goods, services, IT needs, and small construction projects, while ensuring compliance with all State procurement laws, regulations, and policies. The role acts as the department subject matter expert on procurement strategy and requirements, providing daily guidance and support to divisions, project managers, and program staff by developing solicitations, issuing RFPs/ITBs/RFQs, and coordinating contract actions. Additionally, the position oversees property management for the Department of Revenue, including inventory control, surplus processes, property transfers, and regulated disposal, while maintaining accurate records in IRIS and other SOA systems. Support is also provided to the Administrative Services Division and the Commissioner’s Office across multiple business functions, such as maintaining purchasing documentation, processing accounts payable, and assisting with key administrative needs like travel, timekeeping, onboarding, and front-desk coverage. The role involves developing, implementing, monitoring, and improving new and existing procedures aimed at boosting compliance, streamlining processes, and making support more accessible for staff and vendors.
