About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Procurement Multi-Family Manager (Level M) to join our dynamic team in Mesa, Arizona. This position acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements. The role involves managing employees and mid-level managers from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines, focusing on the acquisition of goods and services, supplier assessment and performance improvement, and the management and improvement of supply chain management and processes. The manager will develop and execute integrated organizational plans, policies, and procedures, guiding the development of business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives. This includes acquiring resources for organizational activities, providing technical management of suppliers, and leading process improvements. Additionally, the role requires developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports, and providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes, as well as negotiation strategies, processes, and related tools. The manager will also be responsible for developing, managing, and motivating employees and mid-level managers.

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of experience managing or leading people or teams
  • More than 5 years of leadership experience in supply chain or materials management
  • To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • More than 1 year of experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer
  • More than 5 years of experience with Supplier Management or Procurement practices and processes
  • Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements

  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation strategies, processes and related tools.
