About The Position
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Procurement Multi-Family Manager (Level M) to join our dynamic team in Mesa, Arizona. This position acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements. The role involves managing employees and mid-level managers from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines, focusing on the acquisition of goods and services, supplier assessment and performance improvement, and the management and improvement of supply chain management and processes. The manager will develop and execute integrated organizational plans, policies, and procedures, guiding the development of business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives. This includes acquiring resources for organizational activities, providing technical management of suppliers, and leading process improvements. Additionally, the role requires developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports, and providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes, as well as negotiation strategies, processes, and related tools. The position also involves managing, developing, and motivating employees and mid-level managers.
Requirements
- More than 5 years of experience managing or leading people or teams
- More than 5 years of leadership experience in supply chain or materials management
- Must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- More than 1 year of experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer
- More than 5 years of experience with Supplier Management or Procurement practices and processes
- Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
- Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
Responsibilities
- Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements

- Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives
- Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Provides oversight regarding negotiation strategies, processes and related tools.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers
