About The Position

The Boeing Company BDS GSC&I Major Suppliers & Strategic Contracting has an exciting opportunity for a first line K level manager, specifically within the Major Suppliers Eaton, Moog and GE team. This role will reside in Mesa, Arizona. The first line leader responsibilities include: Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements. Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and small business subcontracting. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools. Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
5+ years of experience in supplier management or supply chain management
3+ years of experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts
Must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Experience communicating with senior managers and executives, customers (internal and external), business partners/suppliers/subcontractors, and government representatives
